Ideas for Using Digital Pictures

Almost everyone has access to a digital camera.  With a little work, the right cables, and a memory stick, you can have students create a myriad of projects.

 

                            LANGUAGES --

  •  Develop a brochure with pictures taken on a field trip

  •  Create activities teaching synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, or       homophones.

  •  Create vocabulary activities

  •  Create an introduction for new students to class procedures.

 

MATH --

  •  Create geometry activities.

  •  Illustrate scale and perspective.

  •  Demonstrate calculator procedures.

  •  Use digital images to help perform scale measurement.

  

         SCIENCE --

  •  Document lab procedures.

  •  Provide evidence of lab routine and completion.

  •  Create virtual dissections.

  •  Take before and after pictures for a stress analysis.

 

SOCIAL STUDIES --

  •  Create a virtual field trip.

  •  Collect and expand living history interviews.

  •  Document local architecture.

  •  Provide a look at local historical sites.
